About Me.
Born and raised in a small suburb near Delhi, I've always been fascinated by the impact science and technology brings to people's lives in different worldly contexts. Whether it was the steam engine, commercial electricity, the modern day microprocessor or the Internet, I've been fascinated at how technology makes changes to an individual's life by supplementing their intellect in unimaginable ways.

SOFTWARE ENGINEER, Microsoft Corp.
Worked with Microsoft Copilot for Dynamics 365 Sales, developing features like opportunity insights and summaries using Generative-AI, seamless and robust UX design using Fluent UI, extensibility frameworks for third-party integration using .NET microservices.
Also created automated low code bots deployed across Microsoft Business Apps.

SOFTWARE DEV INTERN, Apple Inc.
Developed an internal automation system for identifying duplicate tickets filed in the Telephony component for the iOS platform. Brought in several improvements to its design and generated automated summarized reports from the system logs, thereby making the work of Apple's engineers easier and more efficient.

CLOUD SYTEMS INTERN, Oracle Corp.
Measured noisy-neighbor resource contention in the Oracle Cloud System, by profiling high performance servers with parallel database operations. Discovered over 100 seconds of avoidable latency periods for each tested workload in the system, and proposed architectural changes to guarantee and deliver faster service level agreements of their cloud services.

Academic Research
BENCHMARKING AUDIO-VIDEO CONFERENCING APPS
August 2020 - December 2020
A final year research project, which included testing and finding performance metrics for various services such as Google Meet, Zoom and Microsoft Teams. Analyzed several parameters such as RTT, packet jitter and bitrate and quality of media in such platforms over different conditions such as participant videos ON/OFF, presentation mode ON/OFF etc. Came up with situations where one platform may outshine the other.
WIFI BASED INDOOR POSITIONING SYSTEM
January 2020 - May 2020
Design Project supervised by the Head of CS Department at BITS Pilani Goa. Implemented an algorithm to position a user based on the WiFi RSSI from different access points. Conducted field experiments for fingerprinting locations with access point RSSI. The model achieved a 92% accuracy, with further suggested improvements if MIMO based access points are also used.
THERMAL AWARE NOC DESIGN
August 2020 - December 2020
Analyzed the performance of Network on Chip multicore CPU architecture in a thermally constrained environment. Devised a Hill-climbing based algorithm for finding the least thermally constrained path between cores of the NoC, for efficient and fast bandwidth over high CPU temperatures.

I've been a part of several initiatives, such as organizing techno-speaker talks at BITS Goa, group mentorship sessions at Georgia Tech's Pride Alliance, and ring events and festivities at the Asian Employees group at Microsoft.
TRAVEL
Being a history geek and a former cultural studies student, I love visiting new places in search of exciting new cultures, beliefs, ideas, art, food and philosophy. In the past, this interest has led me to meet some amazing people with a social perspective way ahead of our time.
ART
I believe the Arts have an immense power to move one's emotions. Being a projection of fundamental human empathy and ideology, they're present in every beautiful form around us, be it paintings, architecture, music, sports, literature, oration and even culinary masterpieces.
LITERATURE
The boundless Sapiens Imagination as captured by Shakespeare, "So long as men can breathe or eyes can see,
So long lives this, and this gives life to thee". Be it the lives of citizens in midst of a political turmoil, an adventurous fantasy, or just a romantic tragedy, a good read is always well enjoyed.
